Feb 6 '16 ~ Done! Approx 55 hours in the making. 14x17" Every size of the Pima Micron pens were used to create this piece (0.20mm - 0.50mm for line variation), a ruler, a large & small compass, tracing paper, pencil & eraser & a LOT of focus & patience. To me, this piece is about life and all its transitions & transformations. It's about the impermanence of it all; the movement through one reality to the next and the experiences of emotion along the way. It's about how each step is only a fleeting moment in time, and a reminder to be grateful and present with the now, as hard as that can sometimes be. It's for my own search for the infinite and the beauty of transformation, even though it may be the most difficult thing to ever experience. Due to a very recent event in my own family, I can find peace & solace in this realization. So in a sense, it has been my teacher & guide, a place where I can connect my experiences and emotions to something tangible in this world, and a reminder that transition will always be a part of this reality. Because someday, we all have to move on. Until then, make the best of what is possible~
